MGO  (methylglyoxal) is a chemical marker found in Manuka Honey. MGO is an indicator of the activity of the Manuka honey – which provides antimicrobial and antibacterial benefits – the higher the MGO (mg/kg) the greater the medicinal benefit of the honey.
